Emergency Infant Services assists over 17,000 infants and toddlers each year, a number which continues to grow.  According to the Nation Center for Childhood poverty,  fifty-three percent of Oklahoma’s children under six could be classified as low income. Of these, half fall under the federal poverty guidelines, and twelve percent would be quantified as living in “extreme poverty”.
