Who we are

EIS Family Health Guide is an independent editorial site published at emergencyinfantservices.org. The site is owned and operated by the publisher of CuratedTake (curatedtake.com). We are not the original Emergency Infant Services nonprofit; see our about page for the full disclosure.

What information we collect

Automatically collected

When you visit any page on emergencyinfantservices.org, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically logs:

  • Your IP address (used for routing and abuse prevention; retained per Cloudflare’s standard logs)
  • Your browser type and version
  • The page you requested and the page you came from (referrer)
  • The date and time of the request

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate. GA4 stores a randomly generated identifier in a cookie on your device, which lets us see things like “this article was viewed 1,200 times last month” or “most readers from search engines land on the Pediatric Care section.” We do not see your name, email, IP address (Google anonymizes it), or any personally identifiable information through GA4. You can opt out of Google Analytics at Google’s opt-out page.

Contact form

If you use our contact form, we collect the name and email address you enter, plus the contents of your message. These are forwarded by email to the editor (hello@curatedtake.com) and stored in that inbox until we delete them, typically within 90 days of resolution. We do not add submitted email addresses to any mailing list, and we do not share them with any third party.

The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the submission comes from a real browser (not an automated bot) without using tracking cookies. Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy disclosure is at cloudflare.com/products/turnstile/privacy.

What we do NOT do

  • We do not sell or rent visitor data.
  • We do not run third-party advertising trackers, retargeting pixels (Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), or affiliate tracking on our editorial pages.
  • We do not require an account to read any content on this site.
  • We do not collect health information about you or your child. None of our articles ask you to submit symptoms, medications, or any clinical information.

Cookies

We use the following cookies:

  • _ga and _ga_* — Google Analytics 4 identifiers, retained per GA4 default (currently 26 months)
  • cf_* — Cloudflare cookies for security and routing, retained per Cloudflare’s defaults

Browser-side, you can clear these or block them in your browser settings. Blocking GA4 cookies does not affect your ability to read any content.

Your rights (CCPA, GDPR, and other)

If you are a resident of California, the EU/UK, or another jurisdiction with privacy regulations granting access/deletion rights, you can email hello@curatedtake.com and request:

  • A copy of any contact-form messages you have sent us
  • Deletion of any contact-form messages you have sent us
  • A statement of what data we have about you (we do not have any data beyond contact-form submissions; we do not maintain user accounts)

We will respond within 30 days. We do not charge for these requests.

Children’s privacy

Our site is written for parents — not children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us through the contact form, email hello@curatedtake.com and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy materially, we’ll update the “last updated” date at the top of the page. Substantive changes (new tracking, new data uses) will be flagged in a banner on the homepage for at least 30 days.
